Christopher Peter Meloni, an American actor who is well known for his character on the show on television 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. He identified his interest towards acting in his early days at the college classroom and then studied acting at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Although he worked in film and TV but his performances on the smaller screen are what brought him much recognition. He has the ability to portray both characters from the side of police officers and other. This is the reason that makes him so popular. He played the part of a serial murderer in the first TV series he appeared in however he later chose to take on the role that of a NYPD detective. Because of his appearances on smaller screens, he has received numerous nominations for the prestigious Emmy Awards as well as PRISM Awards.
