Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor and is famous for his role in the famous television shows like 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. He identified his interest towards acting during his time in the college classroom and then studied acting in the University of Colorado at Boulder. Although he's been active in both films and television, but it was his character on the smaller screen that earned him a cult fan following. This is not surprising since the actor has managed to grab people's attention with his characters who are on either side of the law. The first show he worked on was a television show, and later, he played an officer for the NYPD. In recognition of his performance on tiny screens, he's received numerous nominations for the prestigious Emmy Awards as well as PRISM Awards. His signature piercing, blue eyes which can be said to help him look handsome. They have helped to play the rough characters in an enthralling style. The actor was featured in People's magazine's list of Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
