Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor who is well-known for his role in the well-known television series 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. The first time he became interested in acting was when he was in college. He studied acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. Though he's appeared in films as well as on TV however, it's his actors portrayed in small screen which have earned him acclaim. He has been able to easily play characters who are from both sides of law, and captivate the viewers' interest. The first show he worked on was a television show, however, he was later an officer for the NYPD. In recognition of his performance on tiny screens, he's received numerous nominations for the prestigious Emmy Awards as well as PRISM Awards. His signature striking blue eyes that are said to make him look handsome. They've helped him portray the rough characters in an enthralling way. People's magazine's Sexiest Men Alive 2006 featured his face.
