LeBron Raymone James Sr. is an American basketball player who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. He is known as King James he is widely thought of as one of the most successful players of all time and is often compared to Michael Jordan in debates over the greatest basketball player in history. James was awarded two Olympic golds and four NBA titles. James scored more points during the playoffs. He has the second most points in his career and is seventh in career assists. The NBA All-Star has made the All-NBA Team 18 times, a record. James was also named to The NBA All-Defensive First Team 5 times. Ten NBA Finals is the most ever before, with eight of them in succession between the years 2011-2018, He was also picked to be on The NBA 75th Anniversary team. In 2021, James was named to make the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and in 2022, he became the very first player to ever in NBA history to score at least 10,000 career points rebounds and assists. James played basketball at St. Vincent St. Mary High School in Akron Ohio, where he was raised. Media across the country portrayed James as a future NBA superstar. In 2003 the Cleveland Cavaliers took him first in the NBA draft, as a pre-pro. Being the NBA rookie player in 2004, he established himself rapidly as one of the best players in the league, winning the NBA MVP awards for 2009 and 2010. James was a free agency following his failure to secure championships for Cleveland. The decision to quit Cleveland in order to join Miami Heat, announced on The Decision, a popular television show The Decision, is considered as one of the most controversial free-agent moves in sports history.
